In this book he shows surprising - and sometimes also conflicting - combinations of photos, drawings and other works. He uses materials that resemble solidified light in his installations or creates situations where darkness seems to invite the light into it. In the photos made during his travels, he recognizes a comparable poetry of light in empty spaces, making no distinction between deserted corners, factories, bunkers, Egyptian excavation sites, Coptic cloisters, prisons or parking garages.
